While it is very important to love your neighbor as yourself, this does not mean that you should not build a fence. It’s better to have your neighbor smiling at you through the wall while you’re talking than to have someone invade your personal space. A fence around the house is not absolutely necessary, but it is certainly better. And even if you don’t have one on all sides of your property, it’s a good idea to have a fence installed around one or two sides of your property.

However, a fence around your home is not just for privacy. There are many other reasons to have a fence around your home. A fence around your home offers the best protection against intruders and criminals. With a high fence, your home is extra secure, and there is less chance of your valuables being stolen and your family getting hurt. For a home near forests and wildlife, it’s important to have a fence to keep them out.

For families with children and pets, a fence is essential for their safety and containment. A fence around the house keeps them from running into the street and getting into a car accident. With a fence, you can define a boundary that your children and pets can use as a playground.

In addition, a fence increases the value of your property. Fencing your property is an important investment that will help you get a better price for your property if you decide to sell it. Since it’s all about selling your home with extra security for plant lovers and garden owners, you can install a fence around your garden to protect your plants from damage and also to prevent animals from contaminating your plants with droppings.

Fences are very versatile; they not only serve as boundaries, but can also be used for decorative purposes. They come in all colors and are decorated with different materials. Some fences can also be painted as works of art. Make sure the fence you choose matches your home and reflects your style.

There are different types of fences and they are all adapted to certain needs and objectives. Some types of fences are made of wood, mesh, steel, aluminum, vinyl, wrought iron, brick, etc. But before you choose the material that the fence will consist of, you need to know the elements of the fence. Understanding the details of a fence will not only help you choose the right fence for your home, but will also provide you with knowledge that will be helpful when installing your fence. Currently, the most popular types of fences in residential areas are wooden fences and wire fences, and in this article, we will tell you about their different details.

Wooden Fence Parts

1) Item

The post is the most important part of a wooden fence. It is the foundation of the fence and the glue that holds the other parts of the fence together. To install the pole, drill holes in the ground, add concrete and install the pole in the concrete. Make sure the hole is deep enough and that the concrete holds the post firmly in place. This ensures that the mast can withstand the wind. Also, make sure you use mahogany, cedar or pressure treated wood for your pole. These types are resistant to rot and will extend the life of your post.

2) Rails

Like the post, the rails are an essential part of your wooden fence. The rails are the element that connects the panels of your wooden fence. Unlike the post, the rails run horizontally through the fence. Some fences have two rails at the top and bottom of the fence, while others have three, with one rail in the middle. The solid conductor ensures the stability of your fence panels, so your fence will last longer.

3) Plates

The fence board is the part that gives you total privacy. This is the most visible part of the fence, it acts as a privacy screen and protects your garden from intruders and burglars. The board is also a part of the fence that adds aesthetics. Fence boards come in all colors and sizes, giving you the freedom to choose what you want to adorn your home. Fence boards are solid boards, vertical boards, horizontal boards, boards on boards, etc. However, not all fences have boards. A post and rail wood fence has no boards. Instead, the posts and rails are connected together to form a fence. However, such a fence does not give you complete privacy.

Parts of link chains

Chain link fencing is in vogue because it is low maintenance, inexpensive, hard to break, durable and lasts longer than most other types of fencing. Here are the parts of the fence:

1) Fence grid

This is the most important part of the fence. The fencing is made of coated steel and is a wire mesh barrier. The mesh is like a woven fabric that serves as the body of the chain link fence. It is flexible and at the same time very stable. Also known as a chain net, it keeps your pets and children safe and under control. The mesh serves the same purpose as the wooden fence.

2. Linear mail services

This is the base of your chain link fence. Just like a wooden fence post, the line post holds the fence together. Linear posts are strong, vertical steel tubes that serve as a frame from which the fence mesh is suspended. Make sure your line stakes are firmly anchored in the ground. Otherwise, the fence will collapse when the post falls.

3) Connection wires

This is the part of the chain screen that connects the line post and the mesh. The tie wire is essential for chain link fences because it prevents the links from coming loose from the post. Another name for binding wire is fencing wire.

Supplement

Now that you know the different components of fences and their functions, you need to make sure that you choose a fence that is suitable for your family and the area you live in. Not all types of fences are accepted everywhere. If you live in an area where animals roam freely or if your home is near a forest, a chain-link fence is the best option for you.
