Old school corrugated sheets
At the height of the industrial age, steel became relatively cheap and abundant. Metal was seen as a material that provides a cost-effective way to cover large agricultural and industrial buildings. Corrugated steel panels were often uncoated at the time, but this was not a problem because there were enough replacement steel panels for roofs and walls to replace corroded panels.
When steel corrodes, visible rust forms. If the old steel plates become too ugly or, even worse, have leaking holes, they are replaced by new shiny parts.
Nowadays, corrugated board is often chosen because of its old-fashioned appearance and relatively low cost.
Most modern corrugated sheets are usually coated with metal (zinc) to prevent oxidation and corrosion and are therefore designed to last for decades.
G-60 vs. G-90 Galvanized steel sheets and their paint finish.
The process of coating steel sheets is called galvanizing. There are two types of galvanized steel sheets: G-60 and G-90. G-60 is a lower quality and cheaper galvanized steel, while G-90 is a higher quality, thicker and more durable galvanized steel.
G-90 steel panels are usually also coated with a high-quality paint. B. Kynar 500, as opposed to the cheaper acrylic paints generally used on lower quality G-60 steel sheets.
Pay attention: G-90 (26 or 24 gauge) steel panels coated with Kynar 500 paint can be used in residential areas, while G-60 (29 gauge) steel panels may only be used for sheds, garages and low spaces in agricultural or industrial areas.
Corrugated sheets in relation to corrugated roofs
Corrugated metal sheets are not like corrugated or ribbed metal sheets. Corrugated sheet refers exclusively to U-shaped and sometimes V-shaped panel plates.

However, the installation process can be quite grueling and time consuming for large projects, especially for less experienced people. Costs and prices of corrugated roofs
Corrugated roofs are the cheapest option for metal roofs, while standing seam roofing is by far the most expensive option.
