#1 How to remove a clean popcorn ceiling
Admittedly, popcorn ceilings (acoustic ceilings) give a house an old-fashioned and awful look after a water leak. If you try to remove the texture of the cottage cheese from your carpet, this process can cause damage to your carpet. There’s a way around that.
What you have to do:
Take a 15 cm spatula and attach it to the end of your vacuum cleaner. This creates a new extension for the vacuum cleaner that sucks up all the popcorn and dust particles that fall when you slide the blade along the ceiling.
*Attention: In some cases asbestos has been found in popcorn ceilings. The Clean Air Act of 1978 banned the blanket material, but manufacturers were allowed to use their existing stock, so popcorn blankets were used throughout the country until the mid-1980s.
Check the ceiling of your popcorn before you shoot yourself.
#2 Is there a leak in the toilet?

If you suspect that water is leaking from your toilet, you should start repairs as soon as possible to avoid higher water costs, damage to your bathroom floor and damage to the inside of your toilet. There are quick ways to check toilets for leaks, and most households have this simple tool in the utility room. Add nutrients to the toilet tank and wait about one to two hours. If you see that the water in your toilet has been changed by the dyes you have used, it is a sign that your toilet is leaking.
What you have to do:
Change the valve on your toilet.
First make sure you turn off the water tap. You can do this by placing the water valve behind the toilet. Then remove the tank cover and start flushing the toilet to flush the water from the inside until it is empty. A sponge (or towel) is also useful to absorb the excess water. Then locate the lever for the flushing chain, remove it and slide the new valve over the overflow pipe and connect the chain. Finally, turn the water tap back on and test the toilet by repeating the food dye test.
#3 Unblocking the drain

A blocked drain can be unpleasant and embarrassing for the owner of the drain when a guest comes to visit. There is a simple solution to this problem without having to spend a lot of money on expensive cork removal products.
What you have to do:
Alka-Seltzer does wonders for acidic indigestion and blocked human gastric acid drains, but it can even repair the acid stomach in your blocked drains by following a simple process.
Take three Alka-Seltzer tablets and throw them in a drain with a cup of white vinegar. Let the two ingredients work for fifteen minutes and then pour boiling water into the blocked drain. The sewer will get rid of clogged hair, grease and other scary things that have crept in.
Bonus Tip – Wait a few days before trying this simple solution after using a commercial drainage product.
#4 Repair of scratched soil

Scratches can make your floor ugly, but there are simple solutions to this problem.
What you have to do:
Take a broom and a tennis ball and stick them together. Rub a tennis ball on the scratch point and see how it behaves better than when playing on the court. If you don’t have a tennis ball nearby or if you don’t want to damage it, you can use a sneaker as an alternative method. Be sure to use a clean sneaker as it can easily remove scratches and leaves the appearance of a fan.
#5 Create more space in your larder

If you have extra table organizers you can’t hold on to, don’t worry. Create more space by giving these organizers multiple destinations.
What you have to do:
Screw the organizers to the wall of your larder to create more storage space, then add herbs by replicating a spice rack, leaving more space for your non-perishable items.
#6 Hide ugly television cables with a shower rod

#7 Add cornmeal to windows for privacy

Simply apply liquid starch to the glass for more privacy and a matte look. Do you want some more? You can also add lace patterns using fabric.
What you have to do:
Mix two tablespoons cornmeal (cornstarch) with two tablespoons of cold water, then one and a half cup of boiling water. The end result will be an insert that can be applied to your window.
Apply a thick layer of paste to the window with a brush. Find a piece of fabric that shows the desired design on your window, like the lace fabric shown above. Place the fabric over the insert in front of the window and add another layer of insert from top to bottom.

#8 Dry channel cleaning
